John Kent’s photos of Glencoe

John Kent recently took some fabulous photographs on Rannoch Moor and up Glencoe. He “took part in a Photo Workshop in Glencoe/Rannoch Moor (Scotland) in Mid February. We had plenty of snow coupled with some sunny weather – ideal for photos.”

“We were up before dawn every day and on the first 2 days at pre-dawn we were taking photos at temperatures of around -10c. A bit cold. My breath was freezing on my cold tripod and also the glass filters on the front of the camera. But I was well wrapped up and the cold was not a problem and I did get some good pre-dawn and dawn shots let alone later on when the sun had risen.
Red deer were around our hotel and were quite tame – ideal for some wildlife shots.”
